Taraba new governor Kefas sacks 16 local government chairmen as he resumes office

The newly sworn-in Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas has dissolved the 16 local government caretaker committee chairmen in the state.

Kefas announced the sacking of the LG chairmen in a message on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Yusuf Sanda.

He ordered the caretaker chairmen to hand over all government properties to the Heads of Local Government Administration in their respective councils.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Olukayode Ariwoola, administered the oaths of office and allegiance to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This makes him Nigeria's 16th President.
